Brand Assets
Brand Support
The whole point of a “Brand” is to promote consumer recognition and usually some “brand value” but we’ll leave out the marketing clichés and concentrate on the brand image. The key to promoting and maintaining a brand is having a consistent use of that brand in all media including shape, colour, size and relationship to text. There is no reason to go searching for images drawn by someone else that are probably out of date with the current branding when companies provide Brand Assets free to download. So if you need a logo for a company, search on Google for “company name” brand assets, and you will be surprised by what is available. If you don’t find anything that way because some companies have not latched onto the idea that “publishing” their logo is a good thing, there is an alternative. Try a website called Brands of the World (http://www.brandsoftheworld.com/) that has many of the brands’ logos created by graphic design artists, and they are free to download. Here are a few to get you started:- Facebook https://www.facebookbrand.com/

eCommerce
The same is true of card payment schemes (Visa, MasterCard, etc.) they also want their brands and in this case acceptance logos to be correct. I never cease to be amazed by the number of sites still displaying the “Switch and Solo” UK-only debit cards that were withdrawn from use in 2002. So, a few links for the card scheme logos:- Visa https://www.visaeurope.com/receiving-payments/pos_branding
