Videos on Websites

Videos on websites keep people on your website longer and engage them with your content. People work with people, and video helps people get to know, like and trust you. Videos keep your audience interested, no matter your product or service. Videos are fast and convenient.

TL;DR

TL;DR – Too Long Didn’t Read. So often the information we are given is too long and we lose interest before we get all the information we need. Putting that information in a video keeps visitors engaged and allows you to communicate your message more effectively. Videos on websites where the ‘presenter’ is an actor and not you or an employee often lack authenticity. These videos on websites can be replaced with video explainers that can be without sound, have background music or can use a voice-over artist at very reasonable rates.

5 REASONS

Why you should have

Video on your

Website

Selling is about storytelling, and Videos on websites are a great way to share a story.

People need the information to make informed decisions. Videos that engaged people by telling a story in which the viewer can imagine themselves are an extremely effective way of demonstrating the benefits of your products and services.

Videos keep people on your website longer and engage them with your content.

Short, informative videos keep people engaged with your content significantly longer than text and pictures. In fact, people stay on websites with videos 60% longer than on sites with just text and pictures. Google like pages where people spend time, that they refer to as “dwell time”.

3 good reasons to add a video to your website

  1. Interest – 20% of visitors will read the majority of text on a website, and 80% will watch the same information when presented in a video.
  2. Conversion – Adding a video to your website makes your site six times more likely to convert a visitor into a paying customer.
  3. Optimisation – A visitor will stay on a website for an average of 57 seconds if no video… but will stay 6 minutes on a website with a video. Research shows that more than three out of five consumers will happily invest two minutes in a video that explains a product they are thinking of purchasing whilst 37% will watch for over three minutes. Great for search engine optimisation (SEO) – Google ranks web pages on how long people stay on the page.

But I'm not comfortable infront of a camera!

Appearing in a video can be daunting; it’s almost as bad as the fear of public speaking (Glossophobia), that is a very common phobia and one that is believed to affect up to 75% of the population.  Speaking in front of a camera is almost as bad and I’m sure you’ve seen ‘owners’ woodenly talking about their business and this is someone who is really vibrant and outgoing in a group.

If you don’t have the confidence to do a video – then don’t. You don’t have to be in front of the camera yourself we can create explainer videos for you that use images and graphics, and text to get your message across. If that is not enough we have worked with professional voice-over artists (they don’t have to cost a fortune) to pass on your message.
